How are “market segments” (mainstream, trendy, edgy) calculated?
Similarly to age, market segments are based on the penetration rate of a trend within each segment: mainstream, trendy, and edgy.
Values are calculated on a scale from 0 to 100, where 100 is the market group where the trend is most popular, as a fraction of total posts published in that group. A value of 50 means the trend is half as popular in that segment, compared to the one with the 100 score.
Important: a higher value means a higher proportion of trend-related images within the segment selected. It does not reflect the absolute number of posts.
